Internet & Technology Company Mini-Research Project

Objective:

There are two main goals for this project:

1. For you to learn more about a specific technology company
2. For you to make a recommendation about which other technology company yours should partner with and WHY

Overview:

You will be working with one other person to research a company and present it to the class. You will be recording all of your information on your own wiki page that you will be presenting to the class on Friday.

Research Directions:

Please research and answer all of the following questions:

1. What is the name of your company?
2. Who is the founder(s)?
3. Who is the current leader(s) or CEO(s)?
4. What year was the company founded?
5. What is the companies purpose? (You might be able to find this in the company mission statement)
6. Does this company partner with any other companies? Which ones?
7. Do you think this company is doing well? Why do you think this is?
8. How much is the stock of the company worth?
   1. Would you be willing to risk your money on this company?
9. What are a few major products or services that this company offers? (list no more than 3)

For each of the 3 products or services, please answer the following:

1. How popular is that product or service? (How many people use it, have bought it, etc.)
2. Do people want to buy this product? (This is called demand)
   1. You can find this out by looking at eBay sales (but you’ll have to look at home).
   2. You could also use the information from question 1 to help you estimate whether people want your product.
3. What is the most interesting thing you learned about this product/service?
